About the Journal

The European Journal of Genetic and Molecular Toxicology is an on-line journal published by the EEMS. It is an international multidisciplinary journal aimed at bringing together research and overviews of research into the mechanisms of action and the consequences of exposure of living organisms to genotoxic chemicals and various types of radiation. Furthermore, the Journal will report on regulatory activities in this area.

Types of Manuscript

A variety of manuscripts are published in the European Journal of Genetic Toxicology:

  • Original articles dealing with research on genotoxicity
  • Guidelines on mutagenicity testing
  • Results and conclusions of genotoxicity testing programmes
  • Abstracts of meetings
  • Reviews, in particular those of inter-European projects
  • Prize lectures, e.g., of the EEMS Senior and Young Scientists Awards
  • Letters to the Editor and Discussion Topics
