The Passing of John Wassom
It is with great sorrow that I inform you that our friend and colleague, John Wassom, passed away on Sunday, February 21.
His family will receive friends on Saturday, February 27th from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at The Rockwood United Methodist Church. The funeral will follow immediately afterwards. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood with full military honors.
John was a founding member and served EMS in many capacities throughout the years. EMS was fortunate to have him attend the EMS 40th Annual Meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, where he described the beginnings of EMS and told anecdotes about his mentor, Dr. Alexander Hollaender.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Rockwood United Methodist Church or Rockwood 2000 Inc.
