The EEMS Newsletter has a long tradition, dating back many years. Until 2008, it has been the official 'newspaper' of the Society. The Newsletter usually contained the President's Report, information on upcoming Meetings, reports on past Meetings, information about the activities in the various Regional Societies of EEMS, News and Views about various topics of interest, and announcements of Workshops, Symposia, Satellite Meetings, etc.
When the EEMS Newsletter was established, a printed version had to be sent to each member. Later on, when the Society website was created, printing of the Newsletter was discontinued, the electronic version was uploaded on the web and members were alerted whenever a new issue was released. Nowadays, the web is increasingly replacing other tools as a more effective and timely way to inform people. In view of these changes, at the 2008 Annual Meeting, it has been decided to keep our Newsletter mostly as a mirror and record of the Annual Meeting and related activities and publish it once a year. From now on, much of its content will be moved to specific pages of the website to be regularly updated. At this page you will still find the latest as well as the archive issues of the EEMS Newsletter.
